Meet Dr. Demetrio Enrique Sanchez, AuD., CCC-A, FAAA

Licensed Doctor of Audiology, Texas Board of Examiners SLP-A: Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, AAA Fellow and ASHA Clinical Certification in Audiology

Dr. D. Enrique Sanchez has been testing and rehabilitating patients with hearing and balance disorders since 1985. He updated his Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree in 2014. He is a licensed Audiologist register to Fit and Dispense Hearing Aids in both the State of Texas and Mexico. He is a doctor with license to practice Audiology in the State of Texas with a clean record. The Acoustic Hearing Center and its affiliates have been dispensing hearing aids in the Houston area for over 65 years.

Dr. Sanchez is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds a Certification for Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. He has held positions as the past President of the former Association of Houston Audiologists, He is a full Member of AAA, ASHA. He is a former member of  the American Academy of Oto-laryngic Allergy, The Pan American Allergy Society and The International Audiologists Society. He is also a past member of the Mexican Otolaryngology and Audiology Societies. He has achieved a “Scholar in Audiology” status for his continuing academic achievements in Audiology from the AAA and ASHA.

Dr. Sanchez is a clinical instructor for students and fellow audiologists at his office in Houston, Texas. He trains future Doctors of audiology on topics ranging from private practice, hearing technologies and professional issues. He has been an active academic participant as a Member of The American Academy of Audiology, Pan American Audiology Society and American Academy of Oto-laryngic Allergy. He is an active standing community speaker for several retiree groups such as AARP, HISD, and other local groups. He has addressed Radio and TV programs on Hearing and Ear care topics. Most important Dr. Sanchez has a successful practice in Houston were he has over 10,000 active patients and he is proud to receive most of his new referrals from his satisfied customers.
